Bridal Hair Flowers: Crowns, Vines and Pins

How to choose between a clay flower crown, a hair vine, or pins, and match them to your bouquet.

The finishing touch, made to keep

A veil comes off after the ceremony. Hair flowers stay, in every photograph, at every table, in the keepsake box afterward. And when they are made of clay, they never wilt in your hair by the reception, the way fresh blooms do.

Here is how to choose your style.

The crown

A full circle of blossoms: romantic, joyful, unmistakably bridal. Crowns suit garden weddings, loose waves, and brides who want one statement piece. My crowns are built on a light base with satin ribbon ties, so they sit comfortably for hours and adjust to any hairstyle. They are also the flower girl favorite. A smaller crown makes the littlest attendant feel like royalty.

The hair vine

A flexible strand of small flowers and leaves that weaves through a braid, wraps a bun, or trails along a half-up style. The vine is the romantic's choice: softer than a crown, more presence than pins, and endlessly adaptable. Your stylist can shape it on the day. Pearl and crystal sprigs can be woven in for evening sparkle.

The pins

Small clusters on pins, placed exactly where you want them. Understated, elegant, perfect with an updo or a sleek style, and the easiest pieces to share: a set of pins dresses a bride, or scatters matching touches through her bridesmaids' hair.

Making it one story

The secret to a polished bridal look is echo, not match. Hair flowers in the same blossoms and colors as your bouquet, not identical, but clearly family. When I make both, I work them together on my bench so the whole set reads as one garden.

Crowns, vines, and pins are all part of my hair flowers and crowns, made to order in your colors. Tell me about your hairstyle and your bouquet on the custom order form, and we will design yours together.
